Bob's on Baker Street

Let me preface that their staff are friendly and helpful! It’s the donuts that aren’t up to expectations. Disappointed the find that they have shrinkflated their Apple Fritter. It was about 2/3 the thickness and circumference that it has been for the past two years (at this location). Overall, I like their traditional cider donuts and ones that have less sugar. The rest of their donuts are just too sweet for me, and a bit too dense. Bob’s Donut does not compare to Stan’s Donut in Santa Clara, in size or loft. The other thing that I notice about their donuts is that they often have a weird aftertaste- wondering if they don’t change the oil in the fryers… I don’t recommend their Vegan apple fritter doesn’t taste right… and tends to be undercooked. Absolutely wonderful donut shop! They’ve got a pretty interesting selection all the time, along with the classics, and even have vegan and gluten free donuts!

Great corner spot for easy access to donuts. Great variety, and nice staff members explaining the flavors. The display case was cute and organized neatly with name tents. Came here after an ebike tour and ordered thir famous Apple Fritter donut. Great flavor! Lovely day. Famous Apple Fritter donut - massive!!

Good enough donuts; it was a rainy day and my first time visiting. I was really excited to learn there was a donut shop in the area with a high rating. I picked a strawberry filled donut, two old fashioned donuts (maple and plane) and the “famous/popular” apple fritter (because it said famous/popular). The strawberry donut was semi-filled with jam, nothing special but my son liked it, and the old fashioned donuts were tasty. Unfortunately, I was extremely disappointed by the apple fritter as it was dry and burned on one side. ☹️ I love apple fritters and was looking forward to it eating this one, however I had to settle for picking pieces off the top and throwing the rest away because it was burned. Maybe next time, maybe. 😕

I rarely eat sweet stuff. Bob's Donuts is my exception. My favorite is their classic glazed donut. It is fluffy, crispy sugar crust, moist on the inside without being under cooked and melts as soon as I chew into it. It is never dry. Excellent service.
