Bodo's Bagels

While visiting Charlottesville, we kept hearing that Bodo’s Bagels was a must-try spot—and it absolutely lived up to the hype. When we arrived, the line was already forming out the door, but the staff worked incredibly quickly and efficiently. We waited roughly five minutes in line and another five minutes for our food, which was impressive given how busy it was. The bagels were fresh, delicious, and definitely worth the stop. There was also plenty of seating available, which made the experience comfortable despite the crowd. Bodo’s Bagels did not disappoint and is well worth a visit if you’re in the area.

If you are planning to order cream cheese bagels, be ready for it. The amount of it is no joke! I love this place!

The bagels are delicious on their own or made into hearty sandwiches, with a wide variety of fresh-made cream cheese spreads that are equally impressive. Service is consistently fast and efficient, even during busy hours, and the restaurant is always clean and well-kept. Overall, Bodo’s Bagels delivers great food, friendly service, and a comfortable environment—definitely worth a visit.

I recently visited the Bodo’s on Preston and ordered a bagel to go. When I got home, I was horrified to find a huge clump of hair baked right into my food. It was absolutely revolting. For a restaurant with such a great reputation, this shows shockingly low standards of cleanliness and food safety. I even left a voicemail for management, but never received a response. I hope management takes this as a wake-up call to fix their health practices immediately.
