Boiling Point

We were all craving hot pot for lunch one day so we decided to try Boiling Point with my SIL. Portions are large here but the food itself is underwhelming, the broth is too spicy, the staff are pretty inattentive, and the prices are high so I’m not sure we’d come again. Drinks are good though. For our lunches we all got the Beef soup at the mild spice level. The portions are generous and each soup comes with tons of add ins like tomato, corn, mushroom, tofu and tofu skins, meat ball, fish cake, imitation crab, and a few little veggie options. The tofu and veggies were decent. And while the portion of beef provided was impressive, much of it was extremely chewy and fibrous so wasn’t very enjoyable. I don't know if it's my curse or the terrible management. We were seated, then brought back.to waited. Then skipped. Then seated then delayed utensils and food order while later seated group got it. The issues really isn't bad staff. I think they are overwhelmed. Perhaps management should get more staff. My hope is they are not maximizing profit over service.

MEAT IS WIRED!!!!! After cooking for 10mins and meat should already been cooked before serving anyway, the meat is half red…. And the staff told me it might be due to the chili or cooking for too long and gave me an additional serving of meat. Seriously thought, looking at the meat, discoloration on the same piece of meat when cooking in the same broth for the same time. TBH, food quality and safety should be a priority. Please help to figure out why and check before serving food to customers. I really don’t care to get an extra serving of meat but I’m really worried about the wired meat I consumed though…. I would really appreciate if the staff cared more and help to answer or at least find out why and resolve my concerns… then just try to stop my complaints… just UGH 🥲

Yikes 3 stars! To be fair, I'm giving 5 for the food, which is as good as any of their other locations, but 1 for the service! Though we were on the waiting list, it took us nearly 2 hours to be seated on a Sunday afternoon. This may be due to the incompetence of the staff, or maybe it's the growing pains of a new location. Their small parking lot is nothing to rave about either, but at least free street parking is mostly plentiful. When we first got on the list, we were told the wait was around 45 minutes. After waiting almost an hour, I went inside to check with staff to see if we were going to be seated soon. I was told we still had to wait. Another 30 to 40 minutes go by and I decided to check again, this time with a different worker. To my surprise, I was told we were supposed to be
