Bonchon Long Island City - Jackson Ave

This place hands down serves one of the crispiest Korean fried chicken in the area! It's not overpriced and is served fresh with juicy chicken and multiple options for sides. The lady at the counter was super patient with me while I was deciding what to choose. I will definitely be here more often and recommend this place to all who seek good Korean fried chicken.

I cannot verbally express my disappointment because the food smelled SO GOOD 😭 I ordered the boneless wings lunch special, which included 8 pieces and a side of fries. Total came out to be exactly $16 ($14.70 + $1.30 tax) Portion: the picture explains itself. AirPods Pro for scale. The largest piece was not even as big as the case. The smallest piece was about the size of a quarter. I had to cut them to smaller pieces to prevent myself from finishing the meal in just 8 bites. Taste/Texture: I am not joking when I say this but the texture is EXACTLY the same as Wendy’s saucy nuggets (except 3x the price). It tastes like reheated frozen nuggets and it definitely was not double fried as described. The fries on the other hand were actually really good and super crunchy (hence the 2 stars). T

I came in about 1.5 hours ago and the guy working was SO NICE!!!! I really appreciated his service and kindness. As for the chicken, I agree with other reviews that they BARELY put the sauce on the chicken. I ate predominately dry, semi crunchy chicken wings. I ordered the soy garlic but barely got any sauce. The pickled radish had a funky taste :( If there had been a decent amount of sauce, I would have enjoyed a bit more. I really prefer BB.Q Chicken for Korean fried chicken and their radishes are better.

I ordered boneless chicken, but what I received was more like nuggets. The size and texture were not what I would consider Korean-style chicken, and the sauce was applied very lightly, which was disappointing. The sides were tasty, but the chicken did not meet my expectations, so I wouldn’t order it again.

We stopped by Bonchon earlier to grab our favorite wings — and as always, they were absolutely delicious! We left so happy (and even happier after the unexpected extra fries 🤩). Thank you so much for the surprise! We enjoyed everything down to the last bite. We’ll definitely be back — we just love Bonchon! Keep up the amazing work, team! 🍗🍟❤️
