Bonchon Mall of America

I got the 8 piece boneless wings because I didn’t want to eat with my hands with peak flu going around. These boneless wings were made of minced chicken just like McNuggets. I ordered the “spicy” and the flavor of the sauce itself was good, but they didn’t add much sauce. Gave an extra star for the fries, which were excellent. And the staff was very nice. I’ll give them another chance with the bone-in next time.

I want to start by saying that the food especially the soy garlic chicken is excellent. My son and I both love it, and it has become one of our favorite meals whenever we visit the mall. However, our recent experience was deeply disappointing, and I feel compelled to share it. We arrived at the mall around 12:30 looking forward to enjoying our usual meal. When we got to the store, there was a sign that said they were on break. Since their posted opening time is 11:00 AM, we assumed the staff must have stepped out briefly for lunch. Out of courtesy and understanding, we waited about 30 minutes. When no one returned, we decided to let some time pass by playing at Nickelodeon for another 30 minutes, assuming a standard one-hour break. To our surprise, the sign was still up when we returned. W

I tried the Bonchon at the Mall of America and it was good. The portions are good and the fried chicken was very very crunchy and fresh. They don’t put too much sauce on it so if you like that, then you would love this! The onion rings were delicious and the sauces were good. Would recommend if you are craving crunchy, fried chicken.

We got the boneless wings half spicy and half soy garlic. The bone-in wings were nice and crunchy…if they keep these wings I’d probably eat them over the boneless. The spicy potstickers were fantastic. The boneless wings had potential but I don’t think there was any chicken inside and just crunchy coating. Can’t believe these were served as boneless wings! They barely filed the bottom of the tray.

The fried chicken here is absolutely delicious! I ordered the soy garlic fried chicken (3 drums, 2 wings) with rice and pickled radish. I dont know how they do it but the chicken remaind sooo crispy throughout, even though there is a sticky glaze, it did not go soggy once. The chicken was also moist in the inside and there was no dry bit! The rice was a nice fluffy enhancement to accompany the salty chicken and I loved the radish to give you a bit of a refreshment on the side. I really enjoyed the food here!!
