Stopped over for a late dinner. Atmosphere was great, beautiful place with creative decorations. The food was great from start to finish. I personally had one of the best pasta dishes in years, wasn't on the menu but was cooked to order. Perfect flavor, savory and beautifully presented. I'd recommend the cannoli desert for perfect finish.
I recently dined at this charming Italian restaurant and was genuinely impressed. From the moment we walked in, the warm lighting, rustic décor, and welcoming staff created an inviting atmosphere that felt both elegant and comfortable. We started with bruschetta and calamari — both fresh and beautifully presented. For the main course, I ordered the Gnocchi Cacio Pepe My friend chose the Margherita pizza, and the thin crust was crisp with just the right balance of tomato sauce, fresh mozzarella, and basil. The service was attentive without being intrusive, and our server offered thoughtful wine pairing suggestions that elevated the meal.
We've stopped in for the last few grand openings. Our favorite was when it was first opening as Bar Parioli, they had $5 glasses of house wines. The Parioli vision was good, a casual Italian restaurant/bar that's more of a hangout spot than a full blown restauraunt. The space is perfect for a place like that. And that's how it felt at the start casual with cheap wine and tasty small plates, but as time went on, it ended up just feeling like another botte restaurant. We were hoping for some good changes after the grand re-opening as Botte, but unfortunately we were left disappointed. For starters, the prices; we got the chicken parm, bolognese , and 1 negroni and it came out to $76 + tip. I get that inflation and prices are up, but the quality just isn't there to justify these prices. C
I went to happy hour and dinner recently and loved it! I ordered the calamari app, the rigatoni alla vodka, and my husband got the pasta alla norma. The food and wine were excellent. The service was also wonderful. Such warm and friendly staff! Be sure to ask for Emmanuel! They even gave us a complimentary dessert. Highly recommend checking this spot out! Glad we got some good Italian food in Astoria!
Food and atmosphere was perfection! Also the portions were great! Would definitely be back!
