I’ve been to Boucherie’s other location before, so I was excited to try the Village one. We came for lunch and were more than happy with everything. The food was excellent, just like at the other locations. I also loved the space — the design is beautiful, with lots of plants, big mirrors, and a huge roof window that makes the whole place feel bright and open. We had the escargot and salmon sandwich — both were great choices. Our server was lovely too, which made the experience even better.
Brunch at Boucherie West Village ended up being a pleasant surprise. We originally had a few other places in mind nearby, but the waitlists were long, so we decided to try Boucherie instead, and it turned out to be a solid brunch choice. We started with the complimentary bread service, something that is typical of French brasseries where bread is meant to accompany the meal and soak up sauces or soups. The bread had a nice crust, though it was a little cold and slightly hard, and since it was a chilly day outside the butter was quite firm and difficult to spread. It is a small detail, but warm bread or softened butter would have made the start of the meal much better. To drink, I ordered the Non La Vie en Rose, a non alcoholic cocktail made with lychee, cranberry, lemon, and non alcoholi
We had a great dinner at Boucherie and really enjoyed the experience. The atmosphere is beautiful and cozy, perfect for a nice evening in New York. Our server, Ash, took great care of us the whole time, super kind, helpful, and very professional. The food was amazing from start to finish. We ordered the steak with fries, the steak tartare, and some desserts, and everything was delicious and very well prepared. The crème brûlée and the chocolate dessert were outstanding. It was a wonderful dinner and we definitely recommend Boucherie to anyone visiting NYC or looking for a great French restaurant. We’d be happy to come back next time we’re in the city.
We enjoyed a rather luxurious meal at Boucherie; the service was quick and friendly and the quality of food was great. We visited this restaurant for our first night in NYC as I heard they went all out with Christmas decorations and that the atmosphere would be unmatched. Upon entering the restaurant, we were met with an incredibly bustling environment with not a single empty seat. The Christmas decorations were lovely and the space was packed with holiday spirit. I feel like the tables could not have been more close together; they were really making use of all of the available floor space they had. We were seated at a nice table on the second floor, which was not the most spacious, however still nice. Some of the seats at the 4-person table overlooked the ground floor and provided such a
Last night’s dinner was genuinely enjoyable! Even though the place was packed, the Christmas decorations and warm lighting gave it a really cozy feel. If you’re sat in the middle of the ground floor it will get cramped, however, we were lucky to be sat along the side. Service was solid, he was great! Our server, Turgut, was friendly, charming, and more than willing to take all the photos we wanted, without disturbing the other tables. He wasn’t overly chatty, not hovering, just around when we needed him. Given how busy it was, the staff handled things well. We waited a bit before being seated, but nothing that threw off the night. The food was genuinely delicious! The table went quiet, which says everything. Growing up in France, it was actually nice to taste dishes that felt familiar, l
