Boulder Tap House

I had lunch here today with my sons. We really enjoyed it here. The food and service were outstanding. I had the Epic Burger and that thing was huge. I really think that this could be a food challenge item for the Boulder Tap House. We are definitely coming back here.

Enjoyed our lunch today. The pepper jack cheese curds and soft pretzels were a good tasting appetizer. The pepper jack wasn’t spicy, but added a nice flavor. Would be nice if a marinara sauce was made available for the curds, but the dipping sauce that came with it was good too. Had the build a burger and a drink. Will definitely be back

Pam and I met with my Class of 1968 at the Boulder Tap House in Ankeny Thursday for our monthly luncheon. This restaurant is pretty new and we've been wanting to try it out and lucky for us my class of 1968 chose it. I ordered a Cuban Sandwich which featured sliced ham, pork carnitas, Swiss cheese, red cabbage, sliced pickles and Dijonnaise served on a pressed ciabatta loaf. For my side I picked a cup of Black Bean Chili, topped with shredded cheese. Both were clear off the charts delicious. Pam ordered a Bacon Boulder Smash Burger which features two smashed 4oz Angus burger patties, 2 slices of American cheese, pecan smoked bacon, Pabst onions, Alabama white sauce and butter leaf lettuce, tomato and pickles. This place has one of the best burgers in Des Moines. The fries were nice and crispy, but not too crispy, and the lemonade was fresh squeezed. Will certainly be back to Boulder Tap House.

First time visitors today! WIDE assortment of appetizers and main dishes. Prompt and friendly waiter, food was served quickly and hot! Wife had Brown Sugar Cheddar Burger with fries and I had the Tenderloin with fries. (pic) Lots of TVs to watch your game, and clean restrooms. Keep up the good work Boulder Tap House! 5 stars all around
