Branciforte Branch Library

I only stopped by to print some important documents, but the librarian was incredibly helpful and sweet. The space itself was big, clean, and clearly well cared for. But what surprised me most was how it made me feel—like being a kid again, excited to pick out a new book. The smell of the library brought it all back. That quiet joy. That sense of possibility. I’d absolutely recommend it to anyone nearby.

The library is visually appealing. It has nice light and is mostly a nice place to get some work done or to sit and read if you have some noise-cancelling headphones. While the patrons are generally quiet and keep their conversation to a whisper, the librarians can be quite chatty, at normal volume. I have spent a lot of time here and the children's room is almost always empty, and separate from the entry where the librarians sit, so it is often the quieter option... but it is off limits. I wish they would have thought to swap these spaces when considering the design. Regardless, it is a nice library and a fine place to go if you aren't trying to get much done, or you are well-prepared.

I came back twice after forgetting my reading glasses he was everywhere helping other library guests with his invaluable IT skills And the Latina lady by the front desk was very helpful and welcoming She shows me how to make copies from my Android phone. and get my replacement Library Card in no time .I think her name is Stephanie. Love this library! The staff are friendly. The printer works well (and 30 pages per day free). There are also nice areas to sit and read or work on your laptop. Although it isn't very large (so there aren't a ton of shelves for books), the hold system works well so you can pick up books from other branches of the library.

Started making patrons leave an hour before closing. No private space for me to use wifi for Zoom so I had to rely on captions.
