Absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish! Brasserie Mémère delivers a truly authentic and delightful French dining experience right in Closter Plaza. The moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a warm, inviting Parisian-style ambiance elegant yet relaxed perfect for a romantic dinner, a special celebration, or a memorable night out with friends. The menu is beautifully curated with classic French favorites like escargots, steak frites, and rich, flavorful mains that consistently impress both locals and visitors alike. Nice French brasserie in Bergen county. Escargot generous. Butter overflowing. Bread and butter nice. Onion soup not so salty but not as much crust cheese tops. Quiche very nice. Creme brulee relatively less eventful. Coffee less wow factor. Puffy dessert with tiny apple cubes and a scoop of vanilla icecream recommended by server was really good. China pretty with blue lining. Interior charming. Nice long bar with high ceiling as well as saloon tables round bench and square standalones.

I took my girlfriend here for Valentine’s Day. It was a very frustrating experience. We made 8PM reservations and were seated 40 minutes later. There was a fixed menu for Valentine’s Day with great choices and the food was good mostly. The Fois Gras was good, the risotto was undercooked and had a powdery center, and the Filet Mignon was great. I understand it was a busy night, but the food took so a very long so come out between meals. The candle on our table went out and no one came and helped turn it on for 40 minutes until I did something about it which made me feel like they forgot about us at times. We left 3 hours later at 11pm after a long night. To top it off they ran out the Crème Brûlée by theme end of the night so even though we ordered it an hour and a half prior they didn’t a

For those of you that have missed the transformation of French food ....... shame on you. While butter is still instrumental, this amazing restaurant focuses on olive oil and acid, as opposed to heavy creams. Flavor is key. I could eat here everyday! Without question the best and REAL Nicoise Salad on this side of the pond!! Bravo Thomas!

3 stars- I really wanted to love this restaurant after reading about Chef Thomas Ciszak. He was a chef at several restaurants I have dined at in the past. Brassiere Memere is located in Closter NJ which with NYC traffic for me is almost 90 minutes away. I was meeting a few friends that live in New City NY and we narrowed our choices down to Brasserie Memere and Hudson House in Nyak which I had an amazing experience in the past. We got there just before 8pm and they close at 10pm. If you read any of my 400 reviews on Yelp you would be hard pressed to see me give a restaurant less than 4 stars, and many are 5. The restaurant is located in a large strip mall which was a little unexpected. We were greeted by the hostess who had a great personality, was warm and gave us the choice of indoor
