BRED - Kendall Square

Didn't know what to expect, it looked like a cross between a take out window and an airport lounge. The food was a little pricey but it might be due to the fact that it's in Kendall square so it's meant for the corporate baddies. The appetizers were really good: the spicy jerk wings and the loaded fries. The burgers/sandwiches were extremely messy and just okay. However, the server was really nice and friendly.

I was a bit surprised to find myself the only one at the restaurant for lunch aside from the staff + bartender's partner. I sat at the bar since I was dining solo. Bartender did not know what was the rotating draft and just gave me a pour. I ultimately ordered a different beer, he poured it, then proceeded to tell me 2 minutes later that they ran out of the beer I ordered and what I was given was a different IPA. I kept it. I ordered the 504 chicken sandwich with truffle parmesan fries. Neither were salty enough, but the chicken was dark meat, so it wasn't dry. The 504 sauce was great, but since the chicken wasn't salty enough, it was all I tasted, making the chicken seem like it had no flavor at all. Super chill yet chic restaurant. My partner and I went in for lunch. We ordered the Waygu Burger, truffle fries, and the Jerk Honey chicken wings and it was all so delicious. It was real chicken wings, not party wings. They were meaty and super flavorful. The burger was cooked to perfection, the secret sauce with the jam combination was superb. I literally ate the whole burger at the table. Today, I wish I had bought another burger to take home. We were in Boston for a couple of days and wanted to support a local business and it was well worth it. Will visit again with our whole family.

I didn’t try the food or I probably would’ve rated it higher. I came in for a drink during a dj event! It was pretty chill vibes. And overall great time. The drink came out pretty and pretty good! Comfy seating. I would recommend coming here for an event !
