My husband and I came here for Valentine’s day and it we really enjoyed everything we got! It’s located in downtown raleigh and there was street parking and a parking lot. The inside was pretty small and didn’t have any seating inside. But they had lots of seating outside! My favorite item was the croissant sandwich. It was perfectly toasted and tasted amazing! It was probably one of my favorite breakfast sandwiches i’ve ever had! I also enjoyed the raspberry donut we got and the matcha as well. I’ll definitely be back!
The donuts were good. The glazed was light and fluffy. The apple fritter was hard and tough to get through. The Boston Cream did not taste like a Boston Cream. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't what I was looking for in a Boston Cream. The Cranberry-Filled was good, but very sweet. There is basically no seating inside, so as long as the weather is nice, you can go eat by the train tracks. The prices were a little high too, for just four donuts, it was a little more than $17. The employees were nice and we were served very quickly. All in all, it was good, just not the flavors that I was expecting.
Visited on a busy Sunday morning and the place was clearly popular as there was a line out the door. Despite the crowd, the ordering process moved quickly. They had a nice variety of donut options and drinks at a fair price. I went with the OG Glazed and the Sourwood Honey. The OG was good, but the Sourwood Honey really stood out. It was a perfect balance of sweetness. The donuts were delicious and fresh, however the vanilla iced coffee took over 15 minutes to come out. There’s plenty of outdoor seating, so it’s a good spot to relax once you’ve got your order. All in all, it’s worth a visit if you're in the area just maybe skip the coffee if you're in a hurry.
Definitely worth the 35-minute drive from Clayton on a Saturday at 7:30 a.m. — excellent service, great vibe, and most importantly, incredible donuts. Keep it up, Bright Spot. Everything was spot-on. I’ll gladly make the trip again without a second thought.
It was just fine. Nothing out right terrible but also not that impressive. The donuts were a great texture but the maple crueler smelled like wet dog for some reason which was off putting even though it tasted good. The chocolate frosted was wayyy messier than a regular chocolate frosting. The coffee was about average. It was busy which I took as a good sign but honestly it seems like more hype than substance. I’d rather just go to dunkin personally. The staff was fine but looked like they were dying to leave which I get cause it was packed and the end of a long morning I’m sure
