Brooklyn Public Library - Brownsville Branch

The library is very good, the people working there are nice.Cons: 1. Contingent - homeless people come and sleep, they always stink, it’s impossible to sit at the computer with children. 2. Small room. 3. Toilet down the stairs, second door on the left. 3 doors to get there. 4. The building is very old, about 100 years old. Despite all these Disadvantages, I found many advantages for myself until a man in dirty clothes with a psychological problem shouted at me. There were no police, I recommend the Library to everyone.

Emily and all the librarians are very welcoming and soft spoken. I have never met more passionate people !! I do pray that they get more funding and benefits for all the Samaritan work that they do for kids and the neighborhood. It's vital to the wellbeing of the community.

They ask kids who don't go to school because there parents say so, why aren't u at school, kids might feel uncomfortable. And I don't like it. They also don't let kids in till like 2pm. When y'all have weird schedules.

Seriously BAD branch The kids are loud and the staff does ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to calm the noise levels They had the upstairs as an adult area away from the kids them moved the adults on the main area across from the kids area where the kids will come and sit intermingled with the adults talking, giggling, etc. The adults coming there has no "adult" area they can focus on reading , studying, or accomplishing the work they came there for. The mouse of a Branch Manager is passive to the situation on a whole and will kindly inform you to use another branch if it's an issue instead of ADDRESSING THE PROBLEM

The staff in this library is very helpful. The books are new and plentiful. It's a little warm in there but a very nice facility.
