Brooklyn Public Library - Canarsie Branch

I like the courtesy and friendliness of the employees. They are always ready to help visitors.

Clean, serene, and yet somehow quite the active branch. Tons of activities, events for all ages. Helpful staff. I only wish there were multiple floors, even a tiny mezzanine...but I love it there!!!

They say copies cost 10cent bust will secretly drain your account. Don't go here for important paperwork to be printed or copied.

I've lived in Canarsie for almost 40 years & this library is the worst ever now. It appears to be a daycare Ctr at best. Lots of teens hanging out eating, running, courting with Guys & girls. ಠ_ʖಠ. Cursing..Just no more quiet time reading or studying. They just want the names added to their membership as they continue to stay open. Security is for the birds. I guess that's the best they can afford. Terrible dissapointment. My kids went to this library yrs ago. Rules were in place then,Now no respect! More like a Rec Ctr. Free run & disrespect for rules.

The best location for questions to be answered however it is not always quiet as a church mouse due to the many services they provide for the community at large.
