Brooklyn Public Library - Coney Island Branch

i came here to study for a test (2:00 pm) and ever since i walked in it was loud. people talking in the phone. DOGS BARKING !! which was beyond me.its now hitting 4:30 pm the kids are going up and down the elevator screaming making a scene staff yelling at each other well talking ina super loud tone. i could focus and i ended up leaving. ontop of that there are people who do drugs in the bathroom. if you want peace and quiet this is NOT the place for you. please do not let your kids come here.

There’s too much talking going on in this library. It’s supposed to be quiet in a Brooklyn public library. I guess since this branch of the Brooklyn public library is in a low socioeconomic neighborhood like Coney Island the staff that work here don’t care about having peace and decorum. The librarian and the security guard were talking absolute nonsense for hours. They were absolutely unprofessional and they showed poor work ethic. Don’t go to this library if you want peace and quiet and you want to concentrate.

: the chairs 🪑are sketchy and not sturdy Quiet 🤫 and Clean It’s a 2 Story building Entrance and lower level are for the kiddos 👦 👧🏼 big and spacious w/ computers 🖥️ and tables All The tables have Charging Stations on them which is smart A+in my book Nice Staff, very helpful The chairs 🪑in the upper level are sketchy and not sturdy so Be mindful they’re not Bigger people friendly to put it politely Book options are ok could be Way ….. better in my opinion It’s $.10 cents to print I only have checked out 1 book once 😂

The staff is super nice! Helped us with all of our needs. The library itself is well maintained & has a play area for kids.

The ladies that work in this library are the most sweets people and so so helpful!
