The older lady at the front desk is incredibly unpleasant. Yesterday, she barely looked up from her computer the whole time I’m trying to talk to her. I tried renewing my library card and since I didn’t have an ID she just kept repeating I couldn’t do it, even though I brought my passport. Ended up doing it with another branch no problem. Then today, unfortunately she’s the only one sitting there again. She waits until she was done talking with her friend about what they bought at Whole Foods before acknowledging me. I asked my question, she was rude and dismissive, no explanation given, just went right back to her conversation.

There’s multiple playgrounds next door but all the nannies come here with the kids. It’s literallly OVERRUN by sitters/Nannie’s hanging out! This is not a coffee shop. They’re so LOUD. No such thing as inside voices, the toddlers/babies are screaming/crying, and strollers are constantly blocking the shelves. No one does anything about it either! I’d rather walk to the Kensington or midwood branch. Not worth coming ANYTIME before 6

Very nice public library. Books are well organized. Good staff. Located right in front of a playground, various shops, bakeries etc. Excellent place to bring my kids here checkout a few books and head to playground. Very family friendly environment.

Ive lived here for years and have always loved coming to this ranch but not anymore. The library has never been this bad. Nannies come here and let the kids go wild. It’s not a reading or learning environment anymore; It’s a literal playground. The kids are screaming and running around while their caregivers just sit and chat. Never a chair to sit in. The workers just let it happen. It’s honestly better to walk farther and go to a different branch

Terribly managed place, kids are running all over place out of control. Not only is it noisy, staff workers just sit there and let any and everything go on. I was lucky enough to get help from one of the helpful workers. I didn’t have my glasses and she helped me find what I was searching for. If I remember correctly her name is Lisa. If you go there she’ll kindly assist you. It wouldn’t hurt if that place got a good dusting and mopping too.
