Yeah, I hear you—libraries used to be quiet sanctuaries, now half the time they feel like daycare drop-off zones. The kids aren’t even reading, they’re just… charging around, yelling, knocking stuff over. Makes it impossible to focus on anything real—like homework, or even just breathing without someone shrieking two feet away. Honestly? They should bring back “quiet zones”—like, actual enforced ones. I’d like to share my appreciation for Jessy, the library assistant at Fort Hamilton Brooklyn Library. She has been incredibly kind, patient, and helpful every time I’ve visited. Jessy goes above and beyond to assist with any questions and always makes sure visitors feel welcome and supported. Her friendly attitude and professionalism truly make a difference. more of a day care. too many small loud children. walked out immediately and spent $8 at Starbucks to get my studying done. unfortunate.

I love kids but libraries are supposed to be a peaceful place to study, read, research & etc. Especially for students. If you’re one of the parents who brings their LOUD kids in the library, you are too INCONSIDERATE, entitled and selfish to think thats okay. Employees are great though. But doesnt seem like a library. Seems like kids playground inside.

I've never seen a noisier library in my life. Library staff are talking loudly. If you are going to study, definitely bring headphones with you. There are also young adults who come to the library and play games loudly. Unfortunately, the staff cannot ensure order in this regard.
