I regularly attend Shape Up with Nicole Kalantzis at this library, and these classes have had a truly positive impact on my life. Nicole is a wonderful professional — kind, supportive, and inspiring. Her classes helped me gain confidence and even motivated me to start studying to become a yoga instructor myself here in the U.S. Programs like this at the New York Public Library are incredibly important for community wellness. I am deeply grateful for this program and for everything Nicole brings to it. Thank you for supporting programs that help people grow and heal.🙏✨

In my opinion, this place is nice, clean and quiet. Nothing amazing, but you can not expect too much from small and, probably, not very well funded library. There are two floors, boy's & and girls' restrooms on each floor. Drinkin water fountains. On the first floor, besides books and CD discs, you will find computers for open use and laptops for rent. The second floor has a small playground for little kids, tables with chairs, a big variety of books in foreign languages for any ages, and many, many more. Some librarians are not very friendly or even rude sometimes. But during our visit today, on August 22nd, 2024, at about 5-5:30 pm, we had a pleasure to meet a very nice and professional librarian lady on the second floor, who helped us to find what we came for! Unfortunately, I did not

DO NOT GO TO THE TEEN TECH CENTER. Me and my friend went to the teen tech center for the first time, 2 girls greeted us and was super nice and even gave us a tour of the whole area. We decided to make shirts and one of the girl didn’t know how to so she asked a guy named Luca. He had an attitude and was acting very rude. When we were making the shirts he said it was our fault if it didn’t work while he doesn’t know how to do it himself. If you can’t work with kids don’t even bother to work at a library. The head of the teen tech center, Nick was super nice and welcoming and even helped us with the shirts. ANYWAYS DONT HIRE A GUY NAMED LUCA AND WEARS A RED SHIRT AND BROWN HAIR AND DARK BLUE JEANS.

Can someone explain to the old woman who works at the library that you can't park your car like that?

Please read if you’re a PARENT!!! The branch’s main manager will never help you out when you actually need help. Looks down on people from lower socio-economic status. I recommend you pick another branch (the popular books are never there anyway). ALSO!! DO NOT, and I repeat, DO NOT let your kid go to the teen center after school. They let them hang out there and they say it’s for kids to “learn new things” and “learn crafts” but in reality it’s a total circus out there. The workers do not care if kids are screaming, punching each other, smoking, etc. It’s sad because parents think it’s the library so it should be safe for the kids to spend their time there when in reality it’s the opposite. If you wanna check for yourself, drop in at any time and wait a couple of hours. Why do you think
