Brooklyn Public Library - Red Hook Branch

The real library is under construction right now. This makeshift library doesn't have a bathroom and is not very big, but has at least two outlets and AC. Not bad considering this is the only library in the area

I requested a few books that they didn't have they was able to get them for me and hold them until my arrival I took my youngest recently to get a library card and get the experience of checking out books 📚 and they was very polite and patient

Great place to look up information for the GED program nearby called Red Hook community Justice center. They offer a full range of FREE programs. Students with Regents are eligible for a waivers on the test! Go there to find out more about the place or go to 88 Visitation place a d speak to the GED person. Students would need to be 17.5 to 21.5 or 22 years old. Don't wait!

It was so hot today - 92 degrees. It was refreshing to spend a cool couple of hours there. The library was clean and neat, tables not crowded, it was quiet, and the restroom was very tidy. The staff was very helpful - I wish I remembered the ladies names.

Closed on March 17, 2023 until 2025 for comprehensive renovation.
