Brooklyn Public Library - Washington Irving Branch

Extremely disappointed that the library closed during the snowstorm and did NOT update google maps. Any business closing should update their hours on google; it is not difficult. I trekked all the way in the snow, because the Irving branch library said it was open. I should not have to open an extra app like Instagram to check; this is exactly what google is for. Not everyone uses social media. This is pure laziness coming from the library.

This is a great library! (Who are we kidding, public libraries are all great, and librarians are true heroes.) This library has everything, books, movies, computers, fans to keep you cool, and fantastic friendly staff. NYC needs to support and protect it's libraries, they are an invaluable public resource!

Quiet library with a lot of seats. Especially in the summer, the AC works really well. Though if you’re searching for books, there aren’t too many options. There is also a spot for children’s books and a spot for them to play.
