Customer Reviews
Today was my 2nd visit in two days and the customer service here is superior! First day the owner is suppose came to a few cars parked out front before opening and allowed us to come in and order early as long as it wasn’t a baked potato. They offered samples and the price points on menu wont break your pockets. I had the leg quarter and tried both ribs. The smoked meat didn’t disappoint and whoever makes the potato salad my God continue to bless you and your family! It’s the best I’ve had since relocating here! 2nd visit today was just as amazing with the customer service. I initially only came for more potato salad but left with a 2 meat plate; strawberry cake and watermelon lemonade that was delicious! I’ll most definitely be back for a baked potato! I was damn near drooling watching hi
Get there Early. We got there at 3:00 and they had almost no meat left and very few sides. I hade the last two meats left, beef links and cubes brisket. Both were very good. The staff was extremely polite and helpful. They even gave us a great dessert to share for stopping in and them running out of things. Not necessary. That is what happens at BBQ joints. Was in Fort Worth for a day trip from St. Louis and it was a great lunch spot. Yes I had the meat sweats afterwards. The only reason atmosphere didn’t get a 5 is because for 5 people you have to eat outside and the flys were pretty bad. But not the end of the world. I have had to do that same thing at multiple BBQ places. Thank you Brown’s Backyard.
From the moment I walked in, I wasn’t greeted like a customer — I was welcomed like family. The owner treated us with genuine hospitality, like we had been coming there for years. They even brought out a few sides for us to try, and every single one of them was delicious. Then came the half rack of ribs… and honestly, they were out of this planet. I’ve traveled around Texas trying barbecue ribs, and this place is truly unique. They just earned a customer for life. No matter where I am, I’d gladly drive two or even three hours just to come back and enjoy what are, without a doubt, the best barbecue ribs I’ve had in the state of Texas. Highly recommended!
The staff were nice. But online looks are deceiving. The ribs had a lot of gristle, the brisket was not tender and the nachos were mostly canned cheese, choosing rib nachos was a mistake between the gristle and bone left in it. Of all the small owned bbq places Fort Worth has to offer I would not choose this one as a texas bbq experience. Just my honest opinion. We came on a Wednesday it was our first time and we were not offered samples. Your lady employee came over while we were eating to apologize for not offering samples.
This is a quintessential family owned unbelievably great little food joint. There’s not one thing about this place. I didn’t love. The food was amazing. The people were so grateful to be able to serve you as their customer. Their green beans were cooked like my grandmother used to make them, and the huge scoop of potato salad that went with my wife’s generous portions of brisket was very good with a little sweetness to it. I had the brisket stuffed baked potato and could only get half of it down and it was fabulous. I love this place, I wish the Browns were my next-door neighbors. I live an hour away, but I will definitely be back. Great job, Dominique Brown, and the real owner and leader of all of Brown’s backyard barbecue. The beautiful Mrs. Brown.
