Customer Reviews
I stopped by this little restaurant and was pleasantly surprised by how good everything was. I ordered a mangú con tres golpes and it was absolutely on point, well prepared, flavorful, and just the comfort food I was craving. The jugo de Chinola was not overly sweet and it was just right and refreshing, as it should be. The service was just as great. Yadira took care of us with a big smile, quick service, and genuine kindness that made the experience even better. For such a small spot, it really delivers in both taste and hospitality. Recommended 100%
I really wanted to like this place, but I was honestly disappointed. The chicharrón de pollo was overcooked, hard, and dry, and the pork in the mofongo was also overcooked and dry. The meats overall were tough, our drinks never arrived, and when it came time to pay, the waitress handed me a handwritten bill that made no sense.I couldn’t even tell what she charged me for. To top it off, she never brought back my change and just assumed it was her tip, despite the poor service
Burgos transports you to the Dominican Republic, not just because of the food, but by the people and the whole atmosphere. There is a steady stream of locals getting takeout from the counter. As such, table service may seem a bit slow. The food is very reasonably priced, with lunch specials around $13-$15. If you want a meal that keeps you full the whole day, try the mofongo de pollo. The tostones ($5) is a delicious side dish.
Amazingly good. Never had Dominican food before and it was so tasty. I had the chicken mofongo. Well seasoned, big portion, super fresh. What a surprise! Service was also very sweet.
I got the chicken combo for $20, the rice was delicious, the also gave us beet salad with raddish slices. The chicken was fine, a little on the dried side and lacks flavor. All in all a good meal, and was enough for three people!
