Cade's Frozen Custard

My husband and I were craving snowballs so we tried this place for the first time. When I arrived there, they had a drive thru only sign up because they were short staffed which I understand in this economy. Although the line was 8 cars long, we were willing to wait and obviously it was a clear indication that they are pretty popular in town. The young lady that took our order was sweet and the price for our snowballs was very reasonable. Once we got home to try them, I really liked the flavors and so did my husband. Our only issue was the ice was VERY HARD. At one point I was using my spoon like an ice pick, chipping away ice while I ate it then I soon realized it was a huge chunk of unshaven ice. Wowww!! This frozen custard is amazing! You have to try this place. We ordered 6 different flavors to try and they are all excellent! If you like custards, you will love this place. It’s drive-thru only. You may have to wait a little for your turn but it’s so worth it!

I have been coming to this establishment for years and it has remained very consistent, this place remains to be one of the best spots for ice cream/snow balls in the Gonzales area. Magnitudes better than Jeremiahs, I strongly recommend coming here if you're craving a cold treat.

I don’t usually do this but there seriously needs to be better training for customer service and cleanliness. We sat in the drive thru with two cars ahead of us for 30 minutes watching three employees take turns making each orders snowballs. I’m talking two would sit on their phones while one would make an entire order and they would switch. Also a lot of lack of cleanliness, touching their hair and faces, and putting their fingers in their mouth. We watched one lady walk in for dine-in service and completely ignored by the girls on their phones and she literally walked out without getting anything. It sucks because it’s genuinely good but as I am writing this they are all taking turns doing nothing and making our order one item at a time. We won’t be coming back unfortunately, this ruined
