Cafe Madeleine North Park

Cafe Madeline is one block from my house. I’ve been looking forward to trying it for a while, but I was utterly displeased with my experience. I ordered breakfast, drinks, and pastries and provided a tip. I am disappointed because I was charged for something I did not order (with no refund) and was treated poorly by the waitress. It was the morning, so I was a little foggy about my order. My friend ordered a pistachio matcha, and I ordered a pistachio latte afterward (thinking pistachio was just the flavor add-in, since I wanted coffee). When the drinks were delivered, I told the waitress that this was not what I ordered. She offered to add two shots of coffee to it. I agreed, and then was shocked when she said I would be charged. Came in with zero expectations but ended up having the best panini and soup we’ve ever had. The ingredients were so fresh! The Argentianian panini had so much flavor. I’ve had many butternut squash soups in my lifetime but this was the smoothest and creamiest one I’ve had. Gorgeous place. We came in almost closing time but they still accommodated us. Can’t wait to try their beverages next time!

Cute place overall. Counter ordering , indoor and outdoor seating. Food was good , coffee was okay. Service was a bit off on the day I went but could’ve been an off day for them. Would give it another go.

If you want a chill atmosphere with a cozy vibe. This is the place. From the time I order, until I left; these people made sure I was comfortable. The food was delicious. That is an understatement. It is a great place to do some work or light reading. I will be visiting this again.

I like how easy it is to order and eat here. Order at the counter then get seated and leave when you're done with your meal. The place has character, it's colorful and cute and in an interesting micro-hood next to other businesses. I also appreciate how friendly and engaged the staff are, service is overall very good and the vibes are cheerful and relaxed. The patio is shaded so I prefer this location to the South Park location for dining with dogs.
