Cafe on the Green

Just had our second thanksgiving dinner here. Chosen as a halfway point between myself and my brother. The holiday menu selections were plentiful and it was difficult to choose between the traditional turkey dinner and the other choices. Both years we chose the delicious traditional turkey dinner. Service is friendly and very attentive. We were not rushed and were able to catch up without pressure. Highly recommend this location for festive, fuss free holidays meals. On the way out I saw they also host Christmas and new years eve. Very pleasant experience and very grateful for waiters, especially Joe, chefs and staff who worked on thanksgiving to make our holiday fun and relaxing.

Classic Valentine Party from the Greater Danbury Mens Club. We all got a little dressed up (including our dates) and had a wonderful lunch. A little snow on the golf course but the view was excellent. A really good time, what more would you want.

We ate outside on the veranda with our dogs. The restaurant was a pleasant surprise, with warm bread served with high quality olive oil to start, fresh salads and super entrees. And the fried calamari was lightly battered and unexpectedly spicy.

Arrived for lunch, lovely atmosphere overlooking the driving range. Tables nicely appointed, staff very friendly. I ordered the salmon (medium rare) lunch special which included salad, salmon, garlic mashed potatoes & veggie, dessert & coffee or tea. When it arrived the salmon was a bit too rare for my liking (not a big deal) & the waiter had it quickly redone to a perfect medium rare. There were many interesting choices for lunch. The manager later on reached out to me via mail & was very apologetic for the Salmon. Tracey went about & beyond. Kudos Tracey. This establishment is a gem!! Can’t wait to return!

I have heard about this place for years. Honestly thought it was going to be more special. The golfers relaxing in the bar were enjoying themselves 6:00-7:30. I found their chatter loud. The food was okay but nothing to really write home about. I know it is popular with locals but doubt I will go back. View of the golf course rather normal.
