Concerned About Recent Changes: I’ve been a loyal Café Rio customer for over 12 years, faithfully enjoying my Taco Tuesdays and earning countless free meals through their loyalty program. Over the years, I’ve gotten to know staff at several locations—it truly felt like my own little “Cheers.” I’ve also referred many friends and family who became regulars themselves. Unfortunately, the recent changes to Café Rio’s branding and operations have been disappointing. The new “look” — from generic signage to stripped-down cups and unbranded serving ware — gives the restaurant a feeling far closer to “closing soon” than to a refreshed, thriving chain. The removal of popular menu items and the shift from the efficient aluminum bowls to cardboard trays has also made the experience feel dysfunctiona

A few family members had warned me about the declining service and food quality at this location. But of course I had to check it out for myself. I should have listened. I stopped by today for lunch. The crew staff is very young and inattentive. Talking amongst themselves instead of providing prompt service. Food portions have significantly decreased and the quality of food was satisfactory. The big shocker was the condition of the dining room area. There were 2 other customers eating. All, yes all, of the tables were dirty aswell as the floor. The areas around the trash cans were a mess. Looks like it's time to move on to their competitor across the street.

Honestly, the fresh tortillas make the meal here. I usually go for the sweet pork salad, and the meat is actually tender and has good flavor. The creamy tomatillo dressing is addictive, too. Service was quick even with a line. Solid spot for a good lunch.

I do love Café Rio, but unfortunately, this location needs some work. It is very dirty almost every time we visit with filthy tables and a mess of the food line. Salsa cheese, and ingredients splattered everywhere. I have watched the staff members use the same gloves for handling money and handling food. Very young staff that appears to need more training. The food is not consistent with quality either. Definitely need some work. I would choose another location over this one.
