Caffè REL

Went to the Hendersonville location last night for the first time. I had been to the Franklin restaurant many times back in the early 2000's when I lived there and loved it... We had a wonderful experience, the whipped feta and spinach salad ( We shared) for appetizers were delicious. Osso Bucco and Chicken Marsala were exceptionally delicious as well... Service was impeccable and the atmosphere was great! While we had reservations and came ready to splurge on ourselves for my wife's birthday, I was pleasantly surprised to see that there are many affordable options on the menu as well. I am looking forward to trying many more items from the menu, a lunch visit in the near future perhaps... I'd love to see the Marsala done with beef!!!!

New place downtown, very chic but casual is welcome. It was mid day in mid Apple Festival crowd and hubbub. Several restaurants close to avoid the over rush but we discovered Cafe REL. The staff posted outside was friendly and welcoming so after browsing the posted menu on a brief waiting list we were ushered inside to a nice table with black napkins. Our waiter was very cheerful and friendly as well. We ordered the Black and Blue and Chicken fingers. The hamburger was great, the fingers okay, a selection of dipping sauces would be nice next time but we enjoyed the ranch dressing. We appreciate their willingness and ability to deal with a hectic crowd and We will look forward to coming back soon.

Caffé Rel is a gem 💎 From the cocktails to the steak to the dessert, everything felt elevated but never overdone. If you’re in or near Hendersonville and looking for a place to celebrate or enjoy a memorable night out, this is it. The setting is elegant but not stiff. It’s clear the design is intentional. Cozy enough for date night, polished enough for special occasions. Kaitlin was amazing. Service was polished and efficient. Our server knew the menu well and made excellent suggestions. Their tagline “polished service, vibrant flavors" really holds up. We’ll absolutely be back!

Has Potential. Great service. Nice atmosphere. Complementary bread service was greatly appreciated, but no one cared for the tomato-based dipping sauce that came with the bread . Calamari appetizer was cooked perfectly but no one at the table cared for the dipping sauce. The risotto appetizer was also something that received a solid thumbs down from all. The winner of the evening was Caffe Bleu Dinner which came with remarkably tasty, broccoli and red-skin mashed potatoes. It was an outstanding entree which will have us coming back for a second try. We shared the strawberry cheesecake for dessert, which was marginal at best.

Incredible. Large portion sizes but it doesn’t matter because you’ll finish it before you realize how much you’ve eaten. It’s that good. Impeccable service. Our server was so personable and sold us on a few specials offered when we went. Lovely atmosphere.
