Staff is unnecessary rude and unwelcoming. Update after manager/owner’s response: I’ve been coming here almost daily for over a month and genuinely enjoy the quality of the coffee. However, the customer service has consistently felt unwelcoming. Staff rarely greet customers, and the friendliness seems selective. A few days ago, I ordered a smoked salmon toast to go and was handed what appeared to be half of the container wrapped in aluminum foil, which felt careless and poorly presented. More recently, when I asked how to indicate on the automated system that I wanted more than one extra shot (which I understand would cost more), the response I received felt unnecessarily dismissive and impatient. Really nice coffee shop in downtown Hollister. Wife had the cappuccino and I had the Mayan mocha drink. Both were outstanding. They also have a simple breakfast and lunch menu that looked really good, so we will visit again to try that out.

I needed a little mini vacation today and that is just what I got. I was so happy to see so many lacto-ovo vegetarian options and the food was so delicious I didn’t even stop to take a neat picture of the arepas before diving in. Even my little four-leggy companion got a treat (the coffee was for me but she got a little cup of whip) and we both left feeling well cared for. The owner was very kind and proud. I hope this is the first of many. We need more places Con Amor in this world!
