The place is a nice restaurant overall, with beautiful decoration and a great atmosphere. The waitresses were friendly and welcoming, which made the experience pleasant. However, I found the food to be quite average, especially considering the price. The portions are not very generous, and many dishes are fairly simple (sandwiches, crêpes, pasta, etc.), which made the quantity-to-price ratio a bit disappointing. We ordered an onion soup, a quiche Lorraine with a side salad, and the “merguez with strong mustard” sandwich, also with salad. For dessert, we had a crème brûlée (which was very good) and a sugar crêpe that was a bit dry. Overall, it’s a nice place for the ambiance and service, but I expected a bit more from the food.
Visited today after a 12-mile run and had a disappointing experience. I ordered the Henri Burger cooked medium-well, but it arrived medium-rare. The portion size was also noticeably small for the price point. Unfortunately, the best thing about the order was the salad. While I appreciate what the restaurant is going for, the execution didn't quite land for me. Service felt rushed and impersonal—our server offered minimal interaction, which left me wanting more engagement. Overall, the experience didn't meet expectations, but I'd be open to giving it another shot if they tighten up the quality and service consistency.
I love Cafe Henri. The food is delicious in the service is very good. I love the environment, especially on days when it's not busy. It never gets crowded because they don't have the tables on top of each other. You might wait for a short period of time if it's busy, but never had to wait super long. It's wheelchair accessible, which is nice. My favorites are the burger and the mussels. I've never had a bad meal there at all. It's always super good. The kitchen is right there next to the dining room and you can see everything when they are cooking, which I like. The music can be a little repetitious, but it's mostly for ambience. I would like to see some more traditional kind of fun French music. Maybe some Stephane grappelli, Django, or Edith Piaf.
Charming spot for brunch. Staff was great. Eggs Benedict, omelette, crepes, espresso martini were highlights. Overall everything came together nicely.
Very nice rustic feeling cafe. The food was great, burger was cooked to perfection and pricing is good for the quality. I will be coming back, thank you.
