Expert carpentry seen from the trim work, crown moldings and windows — a testament to why the restaurant ranks on the National Register of Historic Places. Steamed Clams are simply delicious — plump, lightly garlicky, and tasting of the sea. A must-try when in Eureka. Impeccable and knowledgeable service.

Later night, we sat at the bar. Interesting interior, sort of period for the town. Seems like this had been a similar business in past decades, if not centuries. Very comfortable ambience. Attentive staff, and decent offerings across the board. Food, wines, beers, cocktails, this place has it going on.

The fish and chips here was the best I've ever had. perfectly crispy outside and tender inside. we ordered a salad and clam chowder which were excellent too. Service couldn't have been better, and music made the atmosphere absolutely perfect. will for sure be coming again for breakfast or lunch next time!

Great food and amazing staff. We asked a lot of questions about the building and they knew most of the answers. Cute little place to go any time of day. Staff was open and honest about the kitchen closure during lunch to dinner transition and still happily welcomed us for drinks.

My husband was craving raw oysters, so we did a quick pit stop , everything was delicious and we had a great time enjoying some tasty food.
