Café Zupas

First time here. Lots to choose from salads, sandwiches and lots of different soups. I ordered the lobster bisque soup. And Italian sandwich. The wife ordered the mango salad. Daughters also had salads. This restaurant is a must visit when ever our daughters are in Boise. Friendly service and fast. Clean . Salads are sure good and the portions are huge. First off, the lady making my salad was rude. I said “here” but she made it to go. I asked if they didn’t mix the dressing anymore and she said it was to go. I asked for it “here” and if she would mix the dressing. She acted like I had asked her to do some difficult task. She then kept telling me to go down the line and they’ll have the salad for me. I said I need to customize it so I’ll wait and she said to tell her. I said it’s quite a bit I would prefer to tell them as they’re making it. Again, scoffed at me. Then they stated they were out of grilled chicken. At 6:58 dinner time?? Once it was finished, and I settled for roasted chicken which I don’t like as much, I waited approx 4 minutes to pay (nobody in line) while my salad sat on top of the counter. We ordered 2 sandwich/soup combos and a protein bowl for takeout. Everything was good except paying $14 for a protein bowl that wasn’t even filled hardly (see pictures) It would be nice if you get what you pay for.

Was needing a quick but healthy lunch on my way through town. Pleasantly surprised by the selection of sandwiches, salads, soups, & bowls. Everything was fresh, delicious, & at fair prices! Wish there was one in my home town.

This is the first time coming here. They have different types of salads and soups. They allowed me to "substitute" ingredients, which i liked. I liked their salad, the only downside is, they are quite spendy, but its probably not on one of the places ill ever be back. Theres plenty of parking and theres plenty of seating inside. We came on a monday around 3-4pm and it was pretty empty.
