Cali Tacos (Avondale)

I hadn’t been back in a while, and the food was even better than I remembered. I had the chicken, carne asada, and pastor tacos, all of them were amazing. The pastor is a must-order as they really have that street taco flavor. Of course, have to mentioned the sauces: the green adds great flavor, and the red gives the perfect kick if you like spice. I also had a Michelada, and even as someone who doesn’t usually drink beer, I loved it. Service was super fast too! We came in on a busy and packed Saturday night around 8:30pm, and we had our food in a little over 10 minutes. Thoroughly enjoyed it all.

We are here for the first time and the tacos were really tasty! The guy at the counter was super friendly and considerate. My girls were having a moment and he patiently waited for me to order, luckily we were the only ones in line at the moment. I can say this location is pretty bussy and thats a great thing, tacos are great. My only criticism is that there was less meat in the tacos as the usual taco places that give a tad more meat in them. Overall I'd come back for sure! Place is clean and smells amazing!

These kiddos do a better job than actual adults. The food was spot on, and the service was genuine, welcoming, and homey. It all played into the atmosphere and they were playing bangers. You can tell the staff actually cares, and that made the whole experience even better. I’d definitely come back and recommend this place to anyone looking for good food and a great vibe 💃

I stopped by on Thanksgiving because my family suddenly decided they needed tacos before the actual dinner. After driving around for a bit I found this place and I’m really glad I did. From the moment I walked in, the vibe felt familiar and welcoming, like a true lugar familiar. The owner, Mario, took my order. Super kind, sincere guy. He told me the shop is family owned and started by him his wife, and family. You can genuinely feel that in the energy of the place. The food? Buenísima. Full of flavor, clearly made with care and love. You can taste the pride in every bite. It’s one of those spots where you instantly know the cocina matters to them. Great food, great people, great atmosphere. Un lugar a toda madre. I’ll definitely be coming back. Plus the Cumbias they were playing in there
