California Grill & Bar

Was invited here for a workshop and lunch by one of the insurance companies I represent. We were in the patio dining area. It's a type of fast casual restaurant. The menu is fairly extensive and, in my opinion, somewhat overpriced. On the non-breakfast menu there are virtually no entrees, salads, or sandwiches under $14-$20, and many are higher than $20-$25. I had the "Southwest BBQ Chicken Salad" for $19.99. Three deep fried 2.5-oz chicken breast tenders drowned in a gooey, overly sweet barbecue sauce. The greens were fresh, corn and black beans from a can. Balsamic "vinaigrette" was extremely thick and a 3-oz portion cup was 2-oz too much. But it took 3 asks and more than 10 minutes from the time my salad was placed on the table to get a set-up in order to eat. No excuse for that ot

This place was delicious!! Everything we ordered great! We didn't wait very long for drinks,appetizers, actual order of food. We went on a Saturday around 4pm. Family of 4. They give kids some crayons and a picture to color,they have a fish tank that's pretty neat. The place was clean and our waiter was on it....**stay away from the calamari,its rubbery and very chewy!**

Nice location for lunch. Ordered the turkey club, was given the chicken club but they swapped it for the turkey. The club was good. Buttered sourdough, just the way I like it. The turkey was juicy and I could taste the bacon. The bread was a little thick which you'd think would be good but it fills you up faster. Overall pretty good 6.9/10. The fries were surprisingly good, strained and crispy outside and soft inside, 7.7/10. The tuna salad was very good. The tuna tasted very fresh. The location is clean and we didn't have to wait for a table. The waitress didn't seem nice at first but she was in the end.

The place has a good atmosphere in my opinion. The food has been delicious both times I've been there & the service is excellent! Highly recommend

Can't say enough good things about this place. Great atmosphere, they have TV's with sports games. All the food is amazing, went with a party of 4 and the portions are sharable. Waiters are attentive and come by with refills often. Will definitely be going again.
