California Pizza Kitchen at Hunt Valley Town Center

I haven't been to California Pizza Kitchen since before the pandemic. It's quite good. The decor is pleasant. The venue is neat and clean. Service was efficient and friendly. I had a bowl of pea soup and half a chopped salad with peanuts and chicken. They were delicious. The half salad was more generous than full salads at most other restaurants. I definitely recommend the California Pizza Kitchen in Hunt Valley, Maryland.

With SO MANY other options - why would you settle for THIS? This is one of the original businesses at Hunt Valley Towne Center (Mall). Amazing that they have lasted this long. Went for lunch with party of 12. Nobody in there except us and the service was still glacially slow. I am talking about 30 minutes for a coffee. Food was mediocre and best and even slower than the coffee. I believe we may have had a new server because she was quickly changed out. A bright spot was the the manager was very concerned and addressed the deficiencies head-on but issuing a discount AND a $25 dollar gift certificate to everyone in the party. I gave mine away as I shall never return. Hopefully your experience is better than this one.

The culinary offerings, comprising soups, pastas, salmon, and a salad, proved modestly commendable, earning a respectable rating of 7 out of 10. Each dish displayed a harmonious blend of flavors, a subtle nod to the kitchen’s artistry. Regrettably, the ambiance fell short of grace, marred by windows etched with saline streaks and chandeliers dusted with neglect, which provoked an allergic reaction and diminished our comfort. The nadir of our experience transpired mid-meal, as adjacent staff embarked upon a cleaning ritual with little consideration for our dining pleasure. Damp cloths, cleaning agents, and a bottle of sharply scented detergent were introduced nearby, casting a somber hue over what might have been a delightful evening. I implore the management to address these oversight

Our Pizza was amazing! CPK does it right! Ingredients were uniformly distributed and fresh. The thin crust pizza was done just right! Francis our waiter was attentive to our needs and made sure everything was just right. Raj was there and always greeting us and making sure everything was great. We have missed seeing him on Monday evenings! He is one of the hardest working managers ever. He gets it and leads by example! Thanks CPK!

CPK isn't what it used to be. Went there with a group of 8, service was good, but the food quality has fallen way off. I'll be clear that it wasn't terrible, just not what we used to expect. If it's been a while since you have been, calibrate your expectations. I won't be coming back to any CPK in the future. Way better pizza options out there for a better price.
