Capra's Italian Deli

We have been going to Capra’s Italian Deli for more than 30 years, and it has always been one of our favorite spots. We usually stick to the sandwiches, which are absolutely delicious. The Italian is my favorite and truly the best. Tonight we decided to change things up and ordered the spaghetti with meat sauce, and it was so good. The tomato flavor in the sauce was exactly what a great spaghetti sauce should taste like. Bobby and I split one order and it was more than enough. So definitely go for the incredible sandwiches, but don’t overlook the pasta options. They are just as delicious. Just don’t wait as long as I did to try them. And if you still have room, the cheesecake is super yummy too.

What a fantastic and delicious deli! I have come here a few times before, but finally decided to write a review. In my past experiences, much like this one, I was met with a delicious sandwich. I have tried a few different items on the menu during my visits, and today I ordered the Reuben, which they prepare very well. The only criticism I have is that they are quite busy for lunch, so I recommend placing an order online or calling it in. Although it didn't take a super long time, it did take a bit to stand in line and wait, and then order my food. It was fine, and I didn't wait too long, but if you are strapped for time, you might want to consider calling your meal in advance. Update 2024: still amazing place. Use them for catering multiple times. Just a great place. Always quality. Delicious. Great sandwiches. Nice people. Been around forever. Going here 27 years.

This was a wonderful deli that had prepared selecting to take home as well as sandwiches made to order. Had a Ruben that was stacked high and so flavorful. It came with chips. What a great lunch meal. We ordered the 1000 island dressing on the side because we know we were going to take half home. Huge sandwiches.

My coworker told me about this place, so I decided to try it out. The employees need to work on their customer service skills. Just as I was about to change my mind, I was finally greeted. The lady took my order but acted as if I was an inconvenience; They give racist vibes. Food was okay. Next time I’ll go where I know, Penn Station.
