THE best seafood boil in LA. Trust me, I love a good seafood boil but this place takes the cake as far as quality and freshness, delicious flavors with good spice, and killer deals. We shared a 4lb bag of mussels, clams, head on shrimp, and crab, which came with 4 sides, of which we selected sausage, potatoes, corn, and rice. They had a promotion for the 4lb bag which included a free cluster of crab and endless garlic noodles. The noodles were the perfect base to drip all the sauce from the seafood and slurp it up after, and the do not skimp on the garlic. The sauce was not too runny but also not thick, medium was the perfect kick of spice and flavor, and there was not an acidic tomato flavor like some other places I’ve been. You could also tell the seafood was super fresh. Just good a
We had a great time at Cap’t Loui! We ordered the 4 item combo with snow crab, scallops, and head off shrimp. For sides we had cajun fries, garlic fries, broccoli, steamed rice, and corn on the cob. Everything was covered in the Cap’t Loui sauce which was delicious and super garlicky. The staff was attentive and made great recommendations for us! This is definitely a great place for groups if you want a good crab boil!
Im excited that Tik Tok led me here. My husband and I came and tried a new seafood boil place and found our new home for it. This place differs from others by far with how fresh the seafood is. The crab legs were fresh, clean and nice and full. The shrimp was a great size and also amazingly fresh. Andouille sausage is one of my favorites and the flavor of theirs was on point. We tried the Capt Loui sauce and its combination of savory with a slight hint of sweet made it amazing. Best thing about this place is the sauce is very enjoyable and does not taste like a bag of salt. The staff is very thorough and very kind. They ask questions to make sure your experience is great. The capt Capri bag juices are a smart idea and taste great. The garlic noodles are to live for. I appreciate the food a
The New seafood boil in ktown. Didn’t know what to expect going in since boiling crab is just down the street. But, with an open mind, and hungry stomach, I was pleasantly surprised! The boil sauces were deliciously flavorful, the golden fries were crispy, and the shrimps were huge! Big shout out to the The owner and all the staff. Everyone were very attentive and assisted us when needed, especially when things got messy. The only down side is that they don’t have their liquor license just yet but no biggie. Overall, very happy with the entire experience! We’re definitely planning to come back again soon. Thanks Capt Loui. Side note: the beignets with ice cream was a delightful finish and high recommend. 🤌🏻
Cap’T Loui was an incredible find — easily one of the best seafood spots we’ve visited. The menu offers a wide variety of dishes with a true New Orleans flair. My wife is from New Orleans, and if she’s impressed, then you know the flavors are the real deal. We enjoyed it so much that we went twice during our trip to LA. The seafood boils were outstanding, packed with the perfect blend of spices that immediately transport your taste buds straight to Bourbon Street. Their fried options — the French fries, fish, and shrimp — had that ideal balance of sweet, salty, and seasoned goodness. The lobster roll was another highlight: buttery, well-spiced, and served on a pillow-soft roll. I like to get a little adventurous, so I tried the Dungeness crab with broccoli — an excellent combination I’d
