Capt. Max’s Dockside Bar and Grill

Capt. Maxs is criminally under reviewed for being one of the best vibes in all of Panama City Beach!! They have daily specials and happy hour from 4:00-6:00PM daily. The chicken wings were exceptional, deep fried and nothing like a chicken wing from the northeast but exceptional and different regardless. Huge open porch for catching great sunsets, just feet from the water, and in a prime spot to start or end your night! This place is great for groups and has a very social atmosphere. Dogs are allowed!

The burger was very good. The hush puppies, shrimp, and salad was good. The slaw tasted liked they put sweet tarts in it. I love everyone slaw and I had to spit it out. Music was nice and it was an excellent breeze. Nice view and very relaxing. No real service. You order at the bar but we knew that before we came. Someone brings the food but you never see anyone again but it is more of a bar atmosphere so we were truly ok with that

This was our absolute fave stop of the trip. Not only were the humans happy, but the pup was too! He loved his puppy patty! I will be back every trip for those boom boom shrimp tacos! The kids enjoyed getting a sweet treat out on the patio after lunch too! Amazing views and a nice spot to relax for a bit during a busy week!

This marina bar is such a good time. It’s relaxed, the food is solid, and on certain nights there’s live music that really adds to the vibe. The water view is a huge plus—watching the boats come in never gets old. Even in the winter, they somehow manage to keep it cozy and comfortable up there. The crew is awesome, especially the bartenders. Everyone behind the bar is welcoming, friendly, and clearly works hard to make sure you’re having a great time. They really hustle, especially during happy hour and busy nights, so weekends can get crowded—just something to keep in mind. The upstairs space is fun and casual. If you’re ordering food, you do it at the bar with your drinks, grab a number, and they’ll bring it to you when it’s ready. Overall, it’s a welcoming spot with a great atmosphere

Braden, Kaden and Amanda best bartenders ever. This place rocks. Good food. Good people. Great atmosphere. Best happy hour and service. And awesome place to watch football/sports. You can also bring your 🐕 dog. Oh ya did I mention best bartenders ever. This place is brilliant.
