The fish is always hot and good. Love the green beans, corn and fries. Great sweet tea with fresh lemons. Miss having a Captain Ds in Lincolnton, which was closer. Staff are always friendly too!
We drove 43 mi to come to this Captain D's because it is so good we live within 5 mi of two fish camps and passed three more on the way but still chose Captain D's Gastonia. The fish is so hot and juicy and crispy golden brown, see the people are really friendly and they have an online special we got two three-piece meals with huge pieces and sides and drinks for $23. Whoever is making that fish back there knows exactly what they're doing cuz it tastes amazing!

THE 7 FRENCH FRIES? IM SEEING THIS ON A REGULAR BASIS AT RESTAURANTS? Where Are They Purchasing Thier Potatoes ! Another Country!! $13 No Drink!! 7 Fries???? Please Try The Sandwhich, Let Me Know If You Feel Its Worth The Risk And Money!! Or Is It CAPTAIN DONT?
My grilled white fish was good. The only thing looks like you get either 1 or 1/2 scoop of rice. Need to be more rice for the price we are paying. Ive notice Captains Ds in general gives less food over the years for the price we are paying just need to increase the food a little.
There were 3 people. We got $55 worth of food. The only thing that was warm was the fish and the corn. Everything everything else was room temperature. The funnel cake sticks were slimy. The workers seem to be friendly enough.This post is in hopes for the owner
