Caribou Coffee

We were in the KC area for a softball tournament and I needed a good place for coffee. This is an interesting coffee house as it is attached to a gas station. The coffee was really good, the staff was friendly and the food was tasty and reasonably priced. There is adequate seating and my only complaint is that they were out of the sandwhich I was wanting to order.

The oat milk shakers are great. 4 shots of espresso and a nice coffee taste. You can add your favorite flavoring. I usually go to Starbucks or Scooters which are closer to my house but recently tried Caribou and had to go back a second time. Really enjoyed the shaker and that the coffee was not too strong but also not all milk and sugar. I’ll definitely be trying it again when I am around this location.

I want to be kind here, the girl behind the counter was kind and doing her best. But by herself. Only a couple drove through customers and 1 other in store customer. Took 11 minutes to get a cup of coffee. Edit: even worse….the coffee was cold, and the strawberry refresher was mixed wrong and WAY too much sugar or whatever mix. Both got thrown in the trash and I was late for my meeting!

This was a convienient stop for us, however the coffee and experience was less then desired. I started asking the lady taking my order what her largest iced size was, she replied that it was an extra large. I asked her how many ounces that was and she said she wasn’t sure then to place my order for an extra large white chocolate hazelnut quad shot breve, iced. I pulled around to the window and Paid over eight dollars for a drink that didn’t look right. I kept hearing her tell the kid making it that it was a mocha- and then I asked if she got the breve part and she had no idea what that meant. I got my coffee and confirmed there was 4 shots of espresso because it was very light. The kid asked me “4 shots of caffeine?” I reiterated espresso. There was not. I usually stop here on my way to work, they’re always really slow. Today I stopped, was told they couldn’t make an espresso drinks which was fine. I ordered a large caramel high rise cooler, was charged for a medium, but got a small something(not a caramel high rise). I ordered a chocolate croissant and they didn’t even take it out of the package. Overall just not pleased with the service at this location.
