Carlo's Pizza Oven of Holbrook

Allow me to stop and tell you a little about my experience. My son and I needed to have dinner and happen to be in the area. We had first heard about this place from a group called Long Island foodies on Facebook. Since it's Friday during lunch I can't eat meat so I always try to find something that I can eat without interfering with my son's food. I had bowtie pasta and oil and garlic with sauteed broccoli rabe on the top. Normally when I order this I get maybe half to 3/4 of a pound of pasta and five or six spriggs of broccoli rub. At this establishment I had probably a pound and a half of pasta and at least that much of broccoli rabe. It was cooked to perfection. Not too much oil not low quality everything was top notch. Loved our server, Gary. He was very attentive and helpful. He was also accommodating when he found out we had 8 instead of 7 people in our party. He had great comments and humor here and there that made the experience more better. The food was great. One of my favorite cuisines is Italian and they captured every part of it perfectly. The proportions were definitely more than any of us needed but were great to take home.

This is one of my favorite pies out there. Consistently excellent food. However, it’s always been more expensive than other places around Holbrook. Now it’s just ridiculous with prices and it’s why my family no longer comes here. I grew up with this food! 30.55 for a regular pie is insane. I can go elsewhere and get a pie for 23$. Joe’s in Holbrook doesn’t charge card fees. Not only are you guys expensive but you also charge for a card. You guys are pricing yourselves out. I read the reviews and you say you take it under consideration but you don’t. Not too long ago, you had pie specials during the week. Not anymore. It’s extremely sad but unless you guys bring down prices, you’ve lost my families business and that’s about 5 families. Costs go up but they don’t go up to 30$ for a regular p

Low quality ingredients and overpriced. Paid over $20 for a chicken roll and a regular slice. Taste and quality doesn’t justify this pricing. The chicken roll was so bad I couldn’t even finish it. The atmosphere/vibe was weird. Felt uncomfortable waiting for the food. Something felt off.

Gary at the bar and the owners are absolutely great! They welcome me in as if I was family! I can see why so many regulars go to this fine establishment- what’s not to like?! It has great food, great service, and the best cocktails! Keep crushing the game and it is def my new regular spot in Holbrook!
