Carman's Creamery Inc

First, I will say that the service was good, as the place was completely empty on a Sunday afternoon which meant quick service. The building is also very wide open and clean. The ice cream, however, was very icy and not creamy, as I usually expect creamery ice cream to taste. The flavor itself wasn’t amazing either (I had one scoop of coffee and one scoop of a Java flavor). It was the first time I have EVER gone out to eat ice cream and didn’t finish it. I threw away half of my bowl. There were also not very many interesting flavors to choose from. I’ve realized after talking with friends that some people prefer ice cream to taste like it has ice chips in it, but to me, it tasted a bit like freezer burnt store bought ice cream. We were at Saubel’s market which used to carry perrydell ice cream. Well now they don’t they carry perrydell anymore they carry Carmen’s so we bought a half gallon of chocolate peanut butter. Worst choice ever. No chocolate taste peanut butter was a gritty taste in your mouth. Never will buy it again.

My 5 yr. son says this is the best place to get ice-cream because they give it to you extremely fast and it is extremely good. The best ice cream, hands down. My favorite flavors are peanut butter, banana, and teaberry. My grandparents, parents and now siblings all recommend this as ice cream you definitely have to try. It is unlike what you'll find from mainline brands because it's more like actual homemade ice cream. If you're looking for an overwhelming sugary experience, with artificial flavoring you'll get at most grocery stores, don't go. But if you're looking for bonafide, high quality homemade ice cream, you definitely need to try Carman's.

I was excited to try this ice cream spot and although I realize they haven't been an ice cream parlor in the past I was willing to give them some slack. We were disappointed 😞 . The place is clean upon entering, but not inviting. The portions are small and it had ice chips in both of ours..weird. I wish them luck with this location.

This has to be the best ice cream I've ever had! I was hesitant to try it bc it looked like "ice milk" and I typically like a custard-type ice cream. Even though the texture is light and airy, it still tastes creamy! The black cherry is delicious and I love the classics like chocolate chip, mint chocolate chip, and cookies and cream. Plus, everyone that works in the store is so friendly! So glad they came to this side of York!
