The chicharron and tamales are good, bomb quick bite
This place is sick. I was looking for steaks to bring to my buddy's house because I knew I was gonna wanna eat when I arrived, and I wanted that to be an easy business. They had delicious steaks. Later that day, we went back to try out the delicious looking grilling option they offered for free when I went to buy the first time. Turns out? It was precisely as delightful as imagined. We even offered up bites of the food we bought to his buddies and received partial forgiveness for not arriving back in time for his beach trip and generally causing inconvenience.
I had higher expectations. The carnitas were not that great. I had to peel off too much fat from the meat. It ended up being 1/4 the weight of the meat. They were also lacking in flavor; not seasoned enough. Cashier offered me a bag, but failed to mention she was going to charge me for it. The sweet bread, however, looked amazing and they had a great selection. I leave this review not to bash but because I want our community to be the best and succeed.
Great beef, pork, and chicken in a variety of cuts. Some of the meat was already pounded into cutlets or larger flat pieces for grilling, which is very helpful. They also sell pre-made tamales, chile relleno, sausages, and a lot of other goodies. High quality food, fair prices, and very friendly staff. I just discovered this carniceria and have already gone there twice this week. I will now be a frequent customer.
Bad experience. I came in to get some snacks with my kid. They had a pretty good sweet bread selection but there was a fly in there. I tried to shoo it away while the girl who worked there watch me and didn’t say/ do anything about it. I still grabbed a concha anyway since it wasn’t by the fly. I went over to the gelatin area and got one. As I was driving and eating it I noticed it has mold. Oh, also, the jello was dated Aug.9 so it should’ve been thrown out. I did reach out to the store and they’ll be refunding me, which I appreciate. Also, there is a $1 charge to use your card under $20- kinda steep IMO. This was my first time here but won’t be stopping again.
