Carnitas y Taqueria Los Alvarado

Carnitas plate had great flavor and a good portion. It wasn't what I expected. It was bathed in a red like sauce. But it was good. Lots of little bones and fat. But that's probably expected with that dish. Love the handmade corn tortillas. The beans were good and the rice was a bit overcooked but had great flavor. They threw some onions and cilantro and sauce on top. But I wish they would have given it on the side. I do want to go back and try something else. It is pretty damn authentic. Parking is a pain tho

One of the absolute best hole in the walls ive found. Amazing food every time. Good prices and the flavor is just too good. The carnitas quesatacos are a favorite of mine. Plan to come here whenever im in the area for years to come.

Amazing food options! The carnitas are a must at this place! The moment you walk in, you'll be treated with respect, you're asked about your day, and then enjoy the delicious food you're given. Gives you a feeling as if you were eating with family. 10/10!

I love this place! They have amazing burritos, and it’s worth it for me to drive into salt lake just to get one. They are filling and so delicious

You know the food is good when there's no website, no professional food photos, and everything is served on styrofoam plates. This mom and pop style taqueria has friendly staff, amazing food, gigantic portions, and a decent amount of room for indoor seating (roughly 20 seats). The wait during a busier lunch rush was no longer than 10 minutes. I got the mole burrito and a Mexican coke. Flavorful, delicious, and I was able to pick my own internal burrito ingredients. My group said everything they ordered was really good. Will definitely be back!
