My family and I recently had a wonderful experience at this Carvel location thanks to the sweet crew member, Charlie. She served my husband, son, and I on my son's third birthday. He had been home sick from school all week and it was the first day he was well enough to go out. We picked up a pizza on our way there and were planning to just grab the ice creams and go back home. Since our kiddo had been home all week, I was a little sad about the prospect of going straight home with his birthday dinner and treats. After ordering our ice creams, I asked Charlie if we could possibly eat our pizza there too, and she said yes! She just wanted to check first with her co-worker and they agreed it was okay! I used to live near this ice cream shop, and even though I've moved to NYC, I still make sure to visit whenever I'm back. The ice cream is a bit pricey, but it tastes really good. They use top-notch ingredients, and each scoop brings back memories of home. The shop itself is cozy, and the staff are always friendly. It's worth the splurge for a taste of nostalgia.

I recently ordered two ice cream cakes for my son's 1st birthday party, placing the order a few days in advance. I sent someone to pick up the cakes on the day of the event, but unfortunately, only one cake was provided. Upon calling to resolve the issue, one of the staff members gave a half-hearted apology and immediately blamed the person picking up the cakes, claiming they failed to ask for two cakes. However, the issue was much more fundamental—only one cake had even been prepared, so the blame placed on the customer was entirely unwarranted. The staff member's apology was insincere, and her response was both unprofessional and unhelpful. First time visiting. Blue shirt attendant asked “what I want” responded twice “2 kids cone one vainilla and the other chocolate”. Without paying attention and very rude gave me the 2 big cones. At the cashier charged me for 2 small cones. When I asked her why... she told me I ordered 2 small cones, I said twice 2 kids cones. Is not about the misunderstanding but she immediately asked me to return all the cones with a very bad attitude, take them off very rude from my hands and dumped it on trash can, then never showed up again to the store front. No empathy with costumer, careless service. The others employees looked to her like “really girl”. Tsss I didn’t say anything else because I was with my mom and she’s a senior who gets nervous faster.

Ordered 4 ice creams and all had a sour milk taste. I always ordered from this location. Called and who ever answered the phone hung up on me. You lost a good customer from East Island in Glen Cove
