Casa De Carmel

Very nice decoration. You have everything you need in the room and bathroom. It is very warm and you can control the heating system. Very soft bed and pillows. The best was the vine that was free in the room. It was very tasty and was a very nice surprise after travelling many hours and before going out for dinner. Room was very clean. Only negative thing was breakfast which is left in front of your door within a basket every morning. It is just pastries, fruit and juice. But maybe that's the average breakfast in the US. So not a big deal.||||Reception was closed around 8pm so we had to find the envelope with the key when we arrived. They use the same reception with Monte Verde Inn. Restaurants close early. Nice owners, great history, beautiful sparkling pool, nice accommodations, some cottage-y private vibe, and wonderful flowers. The hollyhocks were rioting, waving, tall and amazing when we were there. Across the street was a beautiful park, with two play areas, one for little kids and one for older ones, and a big pool, lots of lawn, and a rentable big BBQ set-up.

We just got back from a trip to Carmel and stayed at Casa De Carmel . We loved it! It was perfect for the two of us...nice, comfy king sized bed and a very clean bathroom. When we got there Sunday after 3 our room wasn't quite ready and the front desk lady gave us a complimentary bottle of wine which was very good. She was very helpful and suggested things to us. We will definitely stay here again when we visit the beautiful city of Carmel.

My wife and I spent a weekend in Carmel and spent Friday night at the Casa de Carmel. This is a very nice little Inn that is convenient to the downtown area and several restaurants. The room was clean although it is a little small. Their service was great and the staff were very friendly. On Friday evening they had a wine and cheese tasting for the guests an one of the staff members (Seth) played the guitar on the front patio of their sister inn across the street. The building is old and the only complaint I had was I kept hearing the guests on the second floor over our room walking around. The room was priced well and we will stay there again if I can get a room on the 2nd floor.

We are here now and I dread the next two nights. Love Carmel but won't return to this lodging. Thought we were staying in the Monte Verde Inn which looks beautiful but we have been placed in their Casa De Carmel - for the same rate - it is a glorified Motel 6. Single pane old style Venetian windows which also lets the bright light I outside our door as well as all the people noise. Bathroom is not luxurious just old with poor pressure. Sorry to be negative - we were greeted with a smile so can say friendly staff.
