Casa Del Sol Bed & Breakfast

Great place to relax, talk about traveling, chill, and watch a pretty back yard. Marta was an excellent hostess during the couple months I stayed there, and she was more than helpful in making the time between my leases delightful. The place is a little off the beaten track, has free parking, and is very safe. It is right by one of the main bus lines, so getting around without a car is quite easy, and a 15-minute bike ride (she has bikes!) can take you downtown. She is very respectful and is a seasoned traveler. We had a lot of fun comparing notes! Highly recommended!

I found this B&B on TripAdvisor and was taken by the great reviews about Marta and her hospitality. She did not disappoint with either. The home is an older but well kept two story Michigan home all of which is decorated in an eclectic manner and I found that to be quite inviting. It was immaculate throughout with cheery colors in the living area. My room upstairs was very clean and the bed was quite comfortable. The home is in a quiet residential area that is not far from the hustle and bustle of downtown. Marta was very attentive to my breakfast wants and offered her kitchen to my disposal if there was anything else that I may desire. We stayed at Casa del Sol with Marta for nearly a week last month, it was a wonderful experience! Very quiet & beautiful neighborhood, felt like we were out in the country, but close to town. Charming home with soothing colors, art & a comfortable supportive bed. Marta made us feel very much at home- she's an extremely considerate and helpful host, and somehow thought of everything we would need as she composed her room.||We look forward to returning next year and plan to bring our bicycles!

After staying here for 4 months during my reseach visit at UM I am pleased to say that this is one of the best places to stay at as a visiting scholar! The house location is in a really nice and quiet neighbourhood, while the house itself is cozy, comfy and just feels like home. All of the necessary ammeneties were provided and as a person who likes cooking you would definetly have most of what you would need for making most recipes. On another note, the host, Marta, is great! She is fun to talk to and really treats you like family. I loved being able to have chats with her and watching TV together and she introduced me to so many great people and allowed me to attend some really nice events.She is really helpful and I also really enjoyed her cooking. We stayed here for 2 nights for parents weekend at University of Michigan. We contacted Marta in April for an October stay and booking was very simple with an electronic invoice by email. We were still on the late side booking in April for a football game weekend but Marta was able to fit us in. A few days before our arrival Marta contacted us to verify food allergies and our arrival time. We arrived in the morning and she greeted us and made us at home. We had an nice clean upstairs room with plenty of space for our luggage. The neighborhood is quiet and away from the activity of downtown Ann Arbor. Breakfasts were delicious with lots of choices.
