I've been wanting to try this place for a while, finally was in the area on Saturday and had a chance to pick 2 pasteis from them. My first one was the carne(Beef) and it was very good the entire pastel was filled with ground beef, the outside was very crispy. Second one was the chicken and bacon bits, same thing fully stuffed and delicious. If you enjoy a good pastel this is the place for you.

If you are looking for a real brazilian, delicious and affordable pastel this is the place for you! We tried “Portuguesa”, “Carne, Queijo, Milho e Bacon” and “Frango com Catupiry”, they were so good and very well served. We are bringing sweet ones to our home. All homemade, unbelievable tasteful! Nayara was a sweet heart.

I have been buying the pasteis from this lady ever since before she opened the place. Delicious! I have never found a pastel this good and full in Newark ever since moving from Brazil. The service is also always great, and they constantly have discounts on their food which we love! They are always polite even when I come in with a big group! Also, I’m obsessed with their green sauce.

I started following on Instagram and sharing their videos, because they look so good. Once I went there and tried the Costela Pastel I fell in love with it. Now I am a faithful client. The quality never change, the staff is super friendly awesome atmosphere. I recommend to everyone. By the way, you have to try their Banana cake and their coconut cold cake😍😍😍 the 👌

Placed an order for pickup, my order was ready quickly and service was prompt. This is is the real deal, a pastel de feira the size of your forearm with lots of filling and delicious flavor. Packaged in a brown paper bag that is sure to be greasy before you even open it, just like when you go to five guys. They do custom orders, you can make your own dream pastel with up to 5 fillings for 15 bucks. The regular flavors are priced lower at 8-12 dollars and there are lots of options. Other things on the menu are açai bowls and panqueca recheada. Def worth a stop.
