Welcome back, Martusciello’s Bakery — you were very missed! I can’t even express how happy I was to see this legendary name return to Gates under the new Casa Saratoga banner. This place has always been a staple in the community, and having it back — with the original owner no less — is like getting a piece of home returned. On my visit, I picked up a few loaves of their signature Italian crusty pane — still hands-down the best bread in Gates, no question. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, just like I remember. I also couldn’t resist grabbing a variety pack of their Italian cookies, and every single one was a hit with the family. They sell the best Italian items in Rochester. So glad they reopened there bakery on Lyle Avenue. There bread brings memories of my mother's homemade bread. Soooo good!

I'm new to NY, and I have not eaten bread this awesome. I don't buy the DiPaolo from Wegmans anymore. I am now sitting in my car waiting for this place to open now. Crazy. And it's less expensive than what I used to buy.

The 12in Sandwich is a dinner size meal. Prepare yourself to be filled up with amazing and fresh ingredients. The bread is super. I had one of the best cannolis I ever had. I would definitely go back and try pizza next time. I asked an employee and he mentioned that some of the bread they make gets distributed in restaurants in Rochester, NY area. You might already had their bread. I wish the dinning tables would be cleaner but I get it was lunch hour and COVID 19 is happening. The service and quick and friendly. If you order a cold Sandwich you will have either within minutes, hot will take a little longer. Yet flavor is not compromised by the times. I saw all the desserts known to Italian bakery. A great place to stop even if it's just for a sweet treat.
