The Casey Jones Restaurant at the Red Caboose Motel in Ronks, Pennsylvania, is a truly unique dining destination that offers a heavy dose of nostalgia. The restaurant is famously housed inside a series of authentic Pennsylvania Railroad cabooses, providing a whimsical setting that appeals to both train enthusiasts and families looking for a memorable meal. The Atmosphere The primary draw is the environment. Dining inside a vintage caboose is an experience that sets this spot apart from standard roadside diners. The interior is surprisingly cozy, and the views of the surrounding Lancaster County farmland and the Strasburg Rail Road tracks are fantastic. If you time your visit right, you can watch the steam trains chug by while you eat, which adds an extra layer of "Old World" charm to the
Awesome experience eating lunch in a train car restaurant. The staff was very nice. The food was good. We had the soup and sanwich combo. It was a good delicious meal. The soup i had was the corn chowder and my hubby had the crab chowder. Soups were great , but sandwich needed a little extra love instead of cold bun a little chill off of the cold buns would've been great.
Amazing lunch experience after the train ride to have nice lunch with drinks at the train car as well. The chicken corn soup was very salty to me, but the reuben sandwich was so delicious. Amazing vibe and service. We will definitely come back
I had the Pulled pork sandwhich with onion and it tasted good, but the cole slaw was odd. My wife had the Turkey Rachel and it was also good. All was as expected and the service was prompt and courteous.
If you love trains or places you can find and make small purchases (wooden toys, trains, shirts, pj's,mugs, sugary treats) this is great for you. It has a homey feel and nostalgic feel. The staff are both friendly and attentive. You can watch the train go by as well!!
