Customer Reviews
Okay, so let me tell you about this spot, we almost didn’t go because of some negative reviews… and I’m still trying to figure out what they were talking about. So we originally stopped by Henk's Black Forest Bakery, and from the moment we stepped out of the car, the smell from the little corner restaurant next door immediately caught our attention! Service was wonderful, the music was a fun mix of Spanish and English, and the vibe was great. The chips were warm, crispy yellow corn with a delicious tomato based salsa. And the queso flameado with the nixtamal yellow corn tortillas? Sooo freaking good! One fun thing? The menu had creative names inspired by Texas colleges, which made it even more enjoyable. As a UT fan, I would never say I ordered this, lol, but the plate I had was surpri
It’s slow but friendly. The food is less than mediocre. The queso imflado was the worst I’ve ever had. It was like plastic and harden very fast and had no flavor. The music is 80s-90s. It’s a great place for older, older, boring people and the band is not good either. We told the waiter about the “queso” and he didn’t take it off our bill. I will never return and certainly not recommend to anyone I know.
Stopped here for a quick lunch and got the beef fajita nachos. They were good! Definitely could have used a bit more fajita meat but overall was great. Had the queso dip as well with the ground beef and enjoyed it as well.
We thought this hole in the wall place would be amazing. The small quaint restaurant made you feel like you weren't in the busy Dallas area. We were quickly seated and the food came out fast. We were highly disappointed with the food. The food was the most mediocre text mex food I have ever had. I think Taco Bell has better food. The food was lacking flavor. The most disappointing part was the watery refined beans. The beans literally dripped though the prongs of my fork.
Great place for dining. Fantastic food and service. Highly recommend.
